Wednesday May 20, 2009

Quiet day again today which we’ve come to appreciate. Her vitals are good and they were able to lower her O2 concentrations today so we’re heading in the right direction.

We’re continuously grateful for all of the love and support you have all offered through this entire process, and please know she smiles every night as my dad reads her the cards you’ve sent and the messages you’ve left on the blog.

With love and appreciation,
Mel & the Fam.

  1. Was getting a little worried with the late posting today but as usual, Lisa is hanging in there and not giving in. You are in our thoughts each and every day.

  2. Dear Lisa,
Happy to hear today was a good day. Glad to hear that you are getting some rest and a chance to re-build. So many people are taking this journey with you, and we all look forward to the day you walk out of the hospital and return home. With love and prayers.

  3. Hi Lisa,
I think of you at least once a day and wonder how you're doing. It sounds like you've had a few good days in a row and that's so great to hear. We are getting ready to wrap up the school year with only 15 days left. I am looking forward to some time off with my own kids! Stay on the healing path. Can't wait to see you & talk to you face to face... hope that will be soon. Joe sends his best!

  6. Dear Lisa,
It is so great to hear that you are able to rest and relax. Surely, nothing can be better for you right now. Carver is winding down, although you wouldn't know it from the activity every day. The teachers are filling out their cards for class placement and turning them in. Student Council is looking to plant your trees, so all is good. Everyone misses you, though. It seems like just weeks ago that I met you at Hof's Hut for the first time to start planning this year. Thanks to you and your planning, it has gone well even though part of the year you were guiding us in spirit only. That just shows how strong you are. I look forward to visiting with you at Hof's again this summer.
Thank you, Jim, Melissa and Josh for sending Lisa's spirit our way each and every day. You're the best!

    Love from Donna
