Lisa's Tracheotomy went smoothly today. It took a little time after the surgery for her vitals to stabilize but as of this evening she is stable. We met with the Doctor today and he let us know that Lisa is suffering from Sepsis as a result of the Liver blockage. This is what has caused the re-emergence of the respiratory problem. They are treating it aggressively with antibiotics and using meds to maintain her vitals.

Please continue your prayers and encouragement for Lisa. We continue to read her your comments daily and they comfort her and us.

Jim,Josh and Melissa.

  1. Hi guys. I am so sorry to hear about all of the setbacks you have had to go through. It sounds like the doctors really have a good handle on things and that you are in good hands though, Lisa. I know all of you can't wait for the day when you get to go home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that will be soon! Stay strong :)

  2. Stay strong Lisa and keep on fighting! Your team is supporting you! We are all sending lots of prayers and words of encouragement to you and your family.

  3. I am so glad that the trac procedure went well and her vitals are stable. Hopefully with the blockage gone the antibiotics will be able to "flush away" the infection as well. Hang in there and God Bless You & Your Family for keeping us up to date with your status and for allowing us to be with you on this journey.
    Love and Prayers,

  4. Dear Lisa,
You continue to inspire me with your great sense of fight and willpower. You have overcome so many obstacles. Everyday brings you closer to coming home and being well. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you, Cheryl Dennison

  5. Hi Lisa,
I am so grateful that no matter what comes your way, your doctors have a way to treat you and correct it. I know you are ready for some good news and I pray it will be that the infection will soon be gone and you can get back to doing your therapy and getting stronger. I'll continue my constant prayers. I'm here if you need for me to do anything. I'm also thinking and praying for your family every day. I'm sending you my love and positive thoughts. God will bring you through this.

  6. Dear Lisa,
I am happy to hear the latest procedure went well and that the medications are doing what they are supposed to. I am so hopeful that this will be the last of the hurdles to your going home. We love you all so much.

  7. Hi Lisa,
So relieved to hear your procedure went well. You are so amazingly strong! I know your goal is to get home, and I also know you will be reaching that goal soon. I plan to come over this summer and relax with you by your pool. No bathing suits, just shorts and a T-shirt, or maybe a beach cover-up. I pray for you and your family every day. All my love,

  8. We hear the theme song to Rocky every time we think of you. You inspire us and know you'll be standing at the top of the stairs with your hands held high! Continued prayers your way.

  9. Dear Jim, Lis,Josh, and Melissa,

We continue to pray that all goes well. We're confident that you will rest and get stronger as each day passes. We love you.
