Lisa continued to become more responsive today. She is now able to communicate with us and the medical staff by shaking and nodding her head as well as mouthing words. Her strength and spirit has amazed even the doctors. They continue to aggressively treat the Sepsis and we remain hopeful that soon we will begin to see signs that the infection is retreating.

Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement. Lisa continues to find strength in your love and support.

  1. Hi Lisa,
I am so happy that you continue to respond to the treatment and that you can communicate with your family. These are all good signs that you are on your way back to regaining your strength. I know you are the star patient. It doesn't surprise me that you are showing your amazing ability to fight whatever comes your way. I know you must be an inspiration to the doctors and nurses there. They are all doing their part and you are getting better. What more could we all ask for? My prayers for you are still for your complete recovery and that you will one day soon be resting in your own bed.
    Love,
    Sandy Saldano

  2. Hi Lis,
We are going to have to call you Sleeping Beauty from now on, it just took your Prince Jim to wake you up. So very glad to hear you are progressing so well. You just keep up the fight and you will be back in your castle soon, dear friend.
    Love you lots,
    Julie

  3. I think I can speak for anyone who knows you and knows the battle you have had over the last 3 months, in saying, you are our hero! Never do you quit! I don't know anyone else that could have been as strong as you, Lisa! We won't understand everything, but in your case, I don't need to, I just am thankful I know YOU. Keep the faith! Lots of love,
