Lisa's Tracheotomy went smoothly today. It took a little time after the surgery for her vitals to stabilize but as of this evening she is stable. We met with the Doctor today and he let us know that Lisa is suffering from Sepsis as a result of the Liver blockage. This is what has caused the re-emergence of the respiratory problem. They are treating it aggressively with antibiotics and using meds to maintain her vitals.

Please continue your prayers and encouragement for Lisa. We continue to read her your comments daily and they comfort her and us.

  1. Hi guys. I am so sorry to hear about all of the setbacks you have had to go through. It sounds like the doctors really have a good handle on things and that you are in good hands though, Lisa. I know all of you can't wait for the day when you get to go home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that will be soon! Stay strong :)

  3. I am so glad that the trac procedure went well and her vitals are stable. Hopefully with the blockage gone the antibiotics will be able to "flush away" the infection as well. Hang in there and God Bless You & Your Family for keeping us up to date with your status and for allowing us to be with you on this journey.
    Love and Prayers,
    Jean

  7. Hi Lisa,
So relieved to hear your procedure went well. You are so amazingly strong! I know your goal is to get home, and I also know you will be reaching that goal soon. I plan to come over this summer and relax with you by your pool. No bathing suits, just shorts and a T-shirt, or maybe a beach cover-up. I pray for you and your family every day. All my love,
    Barbara
