Monday May 11, 2009

Today was another good day for Lisa! Her breathing has improved to the point that they were able to take her off of the Pulse Ventilator and put her on the traditional ventilator. She is doing well with the change and is maintaining her oxygenation at good levels. Her labs continue to show improvement and her Doctors are positive about the changes they are seeing.

Thank you for your continuing prayers and support. We want all of you to know what an important role you have played in this journey for Lisa and the rest of our family. We sincerely appreciate your unwavering support through prayers and encouragement and we give prayers of thanks daily for this wonderful wonderful support team.

  1. You are such a strong and supportive family. What you have been through would have knocked out most families but the Stephenson Clan keeps pushing forward. Please know how much we admire and love you all. Cant wait for a big party to celebrate Lisa's good health.

  2. Hi Lisa,
Yeah!! You are on your way back with more renewed strength than ever. I know each day will bring more good news until you are strong enough to go home. I am in awe of your strength and your family's willingness to let us in every day to hear what is going on with you. I am so proud of how hard you are fighting. God and the angels are there with you every step of the way. You have a hedge about you. I think you will remember what that means. I look forward to more good news tomorrow.
    Love,

  3. Dear Lisa,
More good news - it makes me so happy to hear these newest reports. What you go through every day makes working with 5th graders seem like a piece of cake. I am thankful for every day I get to go to work. I am waiting for the family message that says you are going home. In the meantime, we will continue to keep you in our hearts and prayers every day.
    Love you. Jackie and Louie

  6. AMAZING!!! I bet your medical team stands back and scratches their heads everyday trying to figure out how this patient of theirs keeps fighting through the road blocks as they develop. If they knew Lisa like we know her they would realize that YOU CAN'T KEEP A GREAT WOMEN DOWN!!! The strength, courage, and Love you all have for one another is an inspiration to us all. Thank you for this precious gift.
    Love & Prayers,
    Jean
