Thursday February 26 & Friday February 27, 2009

Yesterday Mom continued to improve. Her vitals have been improving since she was transferred back to the original facility.

Yesterday Mom had a CT scan yesterday, the results came back clear. This has confirmed that the respiratory issues are a result to the pneumonia and shows nothing abnormal. Mom has been more alert and the Respiratory Therapist has been lowering the level of oxygen support, which means Mom is more able to breathe on her own.

Thank you all for all your support and continued prayers!

  1. Hi Lisa,
This is great news. Now you are moving forward again. I know with your determination and all of us praying for you you can recover completely from this pneumonia. I am so grateful that your family keeps us posted. My day is not complete until I hear how you are doing. I'm here for all of you.

  2. Dear Lisa and Family,
This is fantastic news for a friday!!! I am glad to hear that your momentum is back and on a forward trajectory!! Hopefully they can keep you at the regular hospital until you are ready to go home rather than transferring you among facilities! I remain in constant prayer for you all and I also pray for the doctors and others who help decide on the course of your care! Jim, Josh, and Melly, Please let me know if any of the "Team" can deliver you a meal, or help in any way! Your strength continues to inspire the rest of us and I know Lisa is very thankful for you! Stay strong, remember to get rest, and know that Team Lisa is with you for each and every step!
    Love,
    Nurse Judy

  3. Yeah! You made my weekend. I'm so glad to hear you are doing better. Keep going in that direction, I miss you and I'm hoping to see your smiling face soon.
You'll be happy to know Carver went to the spelling bee today and did you proud, our speller Elsa Trivison made it to the 24th word and from 45 kids to one of the last 15. My whole class went to support her. Thank you for getting us started with the "bee"!
Looking forward to more good news soon. Stay strong Stevensons, you are all amazing.
    Love, Tracy

  9. Dearest Lisa and Family,
Thoughts and prayers continue to flow from your Carver family. We so look forward to having you back at the helm of your home away from home...and it looks as though you are making that happen with your strength and perseverence! Congratulations are in order, Lisa--Carver is a too-close-to-call second in the TALB School Climate Survey! We are only .02 from the first place school, but they only had 58% of their staff respond, compared to our 97%, so we consider this a victory. You're the BEST! Keep up the fight--our strength goes out to you.
    Love from Monica and Donna

Thank you, Jim, Josh and Melissa. I know Lisa will pour out her thanks to you very soon, but until then, the rest of us will tell you how wonderful you all are!
