Mom got to have pudding today!!! She was a little disappointed that it was only vanilla but she'll take it where and when she can!

I can’t tell you how excited we all are to be reporting to you that she's eating pudding. It sounds trivial but to all us who have been following Mom through this journey we see it as a celebration of how far she's come.

In other news: Today was once again filled with great steps in the direction of healing. She's practicing her hand strength so that she can get her handwriting back on track (you all know how meticulous she is about that stuff) and the doctors continuously report that it’s going to be a long process but she's doing what she needs to, to be well again.

Once again, sincerest thanks for all of your loving prayers and support.

  1. Yeah! Vanilla is a great flavor, and you have to take it slowly. Soon you'll be on to bigger and better things, like Subway Tuna! I'm so glad to hear of your progress. Thanks for this post Stephensons, and for your hard work Lisa! You are all amazing, and you have made my Friday evening :) I look forward to more good news and I send you my positive thoughts.

  2. Lis,
So glad to hear the great news. Maybe they could put some chocolate chips in the pudding for you? You know me, chocolate chips go with ANYTHING! Thinking of you constantly, so happy to hear you are recovering quickly. Love to you and your wonderful family!
    Love you lots,

  4. Hi Lisa,
Wow!!! You got to eat pudding, and here I was thinking they would give you green jello and maybe some broth. Pudding is a step up from that, at least. Maybe you can work your way up to a scone soon. I am sure your hands will get stronger every day and soon maybe we will hear from you on this blog. Your family has done a wonderful job keeping us all updated. Thank goodness for that. I can't imagine how hard it has been to write something every day, but it means the world to all of us. I just can't go to bed until I know about your progress for the day. I know tomorrow will be even better.

  7. I have to say that dessert is a very nice entry way back into eating food again:). What a great day! I am so proud of you all. You have weathered this storm with such grace. I know there is lots of healing still to come, but what a positive step today was! Thanks for the great news, Stephensons! Lots of love and prayers, Leslie

  9. Dear Lisa and Family,
Hahaha I like the way Leslie put it, "dessert first is a great entry back into eating solid foods!!!!!" This is fantastic news and those of us who have been following your journey so closely are rejoicing with all of you! The muscle strength may take some time, but it is a process that is doable and we are all with you! Keep up the amazing forward momentum and know that we continue to pray for you and your wonderful family! Still missing you!
