Wednesday March 18, 2009

Lisa had another good day today. They changed her trache again to a smaller diameter, which will be the last one. They capped the trache tube so she is now breathing entirely on her own with only a light oxygen flow through a nasal canula. she sat up again today on the side of the bed, stood briefly and then sat for over an hour in the cardiac chair.

Thank you to all of you for your continued support and prayers. We read your comments daily to Lisa and we cannot begin to tell you how much your comments lift her spirits.

With love and thanks, The Stephenson Family.

  11. Lisa!!!!

Good morning! I am so glad to have found YOU and your extraordinary progress. This is the best communication ever! Now I can chat with you from my new digs in Coarsegold. I am loving my new job. I was with Chris S. and the Supt. of Fresno two weeks ago as they presented to ACSA members locally. Such a treat to hear Chris talk about our LBUSD! FUSD is empowered by all of the good things we have adopted and proven successful. I guarantee they do not have coaches meetings as entertaining and as excellent as yours!!! I am using some of your activities w/ personnel here. They enjoy them just as we did :). So thrilled to see Susan at Pavilions when I was there in LB marketing. She updated me on you and woman......you rock! Can you imagine how astounded readers and listeners are at your tenacity? You are in a chazir, sitting up for an hour? Time to celebrate! XOXO to you all day long. Debbie Garriott
