Sunday April 19, 2009

Another day of work for Lisa. More practice standing, sitting and walking as well as a full compliment of exercises. No Speech Therapy (swallowing) today but she continues to receive three meals a day of soft hospital food which, according to Lisa, lives up to the reputation for hospital food.

Thank you for the prayers and support.

  1. The strength and determination of the Scots has been known throughout history. You make me proud to be Scottish!! Best Wishes to Clan Stephenson and thank you all for providing this blog and keeping us all inspired to keep fighting when times are hard. God Bless You All!!
    Love and Prayers,

  2. So I guess compared to the hospital food, the cafeteria food at Carver is something to look forward to! Can't wait to have you join us there for lunch !

  3. Hi Lisa,
I have been gone all of break and how wonderful it is to come home and read about how well you are doing. Keep it up, we are waiting to see you back in action. Are you allowed to have people bring you things yet? PLEASE tell me when I can, I don't cook much but I can pick up a mean ice cream, smoothie, or shake! Whatever or whenever you are ready, just let me know.
    Love, Tracy Hall

  4. What a crazy way to relearn your appreciation for all kinds of foods! I bet some ordinary things taste great now. Keep up the hustle and pace you are at. Lots of love, Leslie

  5. Dear Lisa,
Another day of successes and more reasons (food specifically) to get home. I am on that same bandwagon to bring you anything you want as soon as the doctors say you can have it.
With love and admiration for all you do and achieve every day. Jackie

  6. Hi Lis, Jim, Josh, and Melissa,

    Another great day. Love you.
