Wednesday April 1, 2009

A good day today for Lisa. No Physical Therapy, however she did sit in her chair for over an hour today. She did have Speech Therapy today and she is now able to have ice chips a often as she likes (within reason of course). They will Insert the PEG tube directly into her stomach on Friday which will allow them to remove the NG tube in her nose. This should be much more comfortable for her and hopefully will make it easier to progress with swallowing.

We continue to appreciate the encouragement, prayers and support.

  2. Lisa,
You are making great progress! You are awe inspiring. Your progress is all a result of your amazing determination. Keep up the incredible work and all good things await.
    Love ya,

  3. Hi Lisa,
I am glad to hear that they are doing things that make it easier for you to get nutrition. Every step forward is good progress. I can't wait to hear that you are strong enough to walk around. It must feel wonderful to get out of bed and be able to sit up in your chair. I think of you all the time.

  5. I never thought that being able to eat ice chips and sitting up would make me smile! Isn't it interesting on how our perspective on the things we take for granted can change? I am so happy for you and send you positive thoughts as you continue on the road that leads you back to us. We miss you sooooooooooooo much!!!!
    Love and Hugs,
