Sunday April 26, 2009

Back to work today. Lisa was up twice with PT walking with the help of the walker and the therapist today. She also had speech therapy with more work on her swallowing. We also got to practice for the first time, me (Jim) transferring Lisa from her bed to her chair and from the chair back to the bed. It seemed to go well ( I didn't let her fall once!). Tomorrow will be back to a full schedule.

Thank you for the support, encouragement and prayers.

Jim, Josh & Melissa

  1. Nice job, don't drop our precious Lisa! I'm glad you are back at work and hopefully not feeling so lousy. Keep up the good work, and get better ASAP!!! We need you, and Love you too...
Hang in there, there is a light at the end of this tunnel.
    Love, Tracy Hall

  2. Hi Lisa,
I'm glad you are feeling better and back to your regular routine of hard work. It's good to have a strong man like Jim to lean on. Even though the food leaves a lot to be desired, I know you are glad to be able to swallow. We all hope and pray you will be home soon.

  3. Good job, Lisa. We all aspire to be as strong and determined as you. I have no doubt that your wonderful family gives you every reason to try your hardest. I miss you.
    Love and prayers, Leslie

  4. Hi Lisa,
So glad to hear you're moving more and more each day, taking additional steps that will have you walking back through our doors soon! We can't wait until you are home and we can start bringing you some real food!!
Keep working hard, you're in my daily prayers and thoughts.

  5. Dearest Lisa and Family,
It's the beginning of another full work week for all of us. Make sure those therapists are "earning their keep", and they'll help you get home ASAP. Remember that we're with you every step of the way back to us.
Love, prayers, and all things positive,

  6. Things are moving forward and that's all that you have to's the baby steps that get you where you need to go. Good job to Lisa and to Jim. It's Monday...have a great week. Thinking of you daily Lisa and always keeping you in my prayers. Barb Cabot
