Monday April 13, 2009

Back to weekday work schedule for Lisa! Today she had Physical Therapy twice and Occupational Therapy. In the morning and afternoon, she stood with the help of the PT's then sat in the wheelchair. She also did a full regimen of exercises in both sessions and in the afternoon worked for 5 minutes pedaling on a portable exercise machine. OT worked on self-care. No speech therapy today as she had it yesterday. She is scheduled to have her next swallow evaluation tomorrow so keep your prayers strong that all goes well and she can begin working on eating foods.

Thank you for the continued support and prayers.

Jim, Josh and Melissa

  2. Hi Lisa,
I think you are working out more than me! I'll say lots of prayers that your tests go well tomorrow and they give you something you can sink your teeth into. As I said before, I will cook you anything you want when you get home. The candles are lit.

  5. Drarest Lisa and Family,
Extra prayers are in the works for a green light on extending your menu. Keep up the great work, and remember, frustrating though it may be, all good things are worth waiting for! You all continue to be held in my prayers and positive thoughts, and I send you love and energy, (from) Monica

  6. Dear Lisa,
I can't believe how much you are doing. It is obvious that you have that goal in your sight.
We all appreciate the family updates and know that this has been their long road as well. You are so blessed to have Jim, Josh and Melissa in your life. We love you and send prayers for renewed health and more progress each day. Jackie and Louie

  7. Gosh, I've been checking Lisa's progress every day and just realized I could write back. I've wanted to send cards, but didn't know any addresses along the way. Please give Lisa my love and let her know she's been in my thoughts and prayers.
    Love,
    Jan Madnicxk
